Cancer Support Sisters is a women's cancer support group created and hosted by yoga and meditation teacher, Sophie, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer 12 years ago. Having experienced first-hand the physical, emotional and mental challenges that can arise from a cancer diagnosis, treatment and long-term side effects, Sophie understands the importance of feeling seen, heard and supported by others who truly understand the journey.
Inspired by her own healing path, she feels deeply called to create a compassionate community where women affected by cancer can come together in connection and support. This group offers a safe, nurturing and welcoming space for women aged 18–70 who are navigating life during or after cancer. Through shared experiences, meaningful conversations and a sense of sisterhood, Cancer Support Sisters aims to help women feel less alone, while supporting healing, growth, resilience and hope as they move forward on their own unique journey.
Join us for a gentle and supportive walk created especially for women who are going through, or living beyond, cancer treatment. This is an opportunity to step outside, enjoy some fresh air and spend time with others who understand the unique challenges, emotions and experiences that can come with a cancer diagnosis. There is no pressure, agenda or expectation - just a welcoming space to connect, share if you wish, and feel supported by a community of women who truly understand.
Each walk takes place at a different local location, offering the chance to explore nature while benefiting from the healing power of movement, conversation and connection. Whether you are newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, in recovery or years beyond your diagnosis, you are warmly welcome. Come as you are and walk at your own pace, knowing you are not alone on your journey. This is a free community offering, open to all women affected by cancer. 💚
